Компьютерная томография остается методикой «первой линии» в диагностике пациентов с этим заболеванием. При этом роль такого высокотехнологичного метода медицинской визуализации, как магнитно-резонансная томография, становится более значимой перед планированием хирургического лечения. В данном обзоре освещены результаты по использованию МРТ в диагностике хронического среднего отита, осложненного холестеатомой.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>One of the leading causes of hearing loss in the population is chronic otitis media (COM), in particular, complicated by cholesteatoma. Computed tomography remains the «first-line» technique in terms of diagnosing patients suffering from this disease. At the same time, the role of such a high-tech medical imaging method as magnetic resonance imaging becomes more important prior to surgical treatment planning .
