<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>In the literature review, the diagnostic technique called proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H-MRS) is considered to be gaining popularity. It allows non-invasive in vivo assessment of tissue metabolism and demonstrates effective application in improving the specificity of MR diagnosis of breast lesions and control of tumor response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Variations in the concentration of choline-based cellular metabolites detected by 1H-MRS have shown a relationship with malignant tissue transformation in in vivo and in vitro studies. 1H-MRS exists as a complement to the current MR study of the breast.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>магнитно-резонансная томография</kwd><kwd>протонная магнитно-резонансная спектроскопия</kwd><kwd>рак молочной железы</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Magnetic Resonance Imaging</kwd><kwd>Proton Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy</kwd><kwd>Breast Cancer</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Меладзе Н.
