Симптоматика у таких пациентов развивается в зависимости от скорости развития гидроцефалии. Острая обструктивная гидроцефалия вызывает внезапное повышение внутричерепного давления, которое может привести к смерти, тогда как при хронической гидроцефалии симптомы могут прогрессировать медленнее или даже отсутствовать. Одним из основных методов хирургического лечения обструктивной гидроцефалии является эндоскопическая тривентрикулоцистерностомия. Магнитно-резонансная томография, и, в частности, трехмерные последовательности и фазоконтрастная визуализация ликвородинамики, играет важнейшую рольв предоперационной и послеоперационной оценке обструктивной гидроцефалии.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Obstructive hydrocephalus develops due to the occlusion of CSF spaces in the ventricular system.
